* Who We Are *

Stockton Nursing Home is unique in its ownership. 

In the early 1970s a group of local citizens recognized the need for Long-Term care and challenged the community to raise start-up funds.  The community responded with more than $100,000.00 in cash !  A loan was then secured from a local bank and guaranteed by Farmers Home Administration.  SNH was the first nursing home in Missouri to be financed in such a manner.

SNH is governed by a non-salaried nine-member Board of Directors that is elected by anyone that has donated $100.00 or more to the facility.  Board members serve three-year terms with officers elected every year.

Stockton Nursing Home is listed with the Internal Revenue Service, as a 501-C3 entity, which means that as a charitable organization, donations may be tax deductible.

With a guiding philosophy that respects the dignity and the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs, and rights of each resident, the staff of Stockton Nursing Home is tireless in its efforts to serve and preserve life.
